Mechanism of Action

Luliconazole works by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, which is crucial for ergosterol synthesis in fungal cell membranes.

By blocking ergosterol production, Luliconazole disrupts the integrity of the fungal cell membrane, causing leakage of cellular contents and ultimately fungal cell death. This action makes it highly effective against dermatophytes and yeast infections.

Indications

Luliren Cream 1% is indicated for the treatment of:

• Tinea corporis (ringworm of the body)

• Tinea cruris (jock itch)

• Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)

• Cutaneous candidiasis

• Other superficial fungal infections as advised by a physician

Dosage and Administration

• Clean and dry the affected area before application

• Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin and surrounding areas once daily

• Gently rub until fully absorbed

• Continue treatment for the full duration prescribed by the doctor, usually 1–2 weeks for most infections

• Avoid covering the treated area with tight bandages unless instructed

Precautions
