Indications

Zerotil Injection is indicated for the treatment of:

• Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)
• Severe ENT infections (sinusitis, otitis media, tonsillitis)
• Complicated urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Bone and joint infections (as prescribed)
• Septicemia and systemic bacterial infections

Mechanism of Action

Cefuroxime is a bactericidal antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing the formation of a stable cell wall.
