Temonix Capsule 100 mg contains Temozolomide, an oral alkylating chemotherapy agent used in the treatment of certain types of brain tumors. It is commonly prescribed for glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma. Temozolomide works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, thereby slowing or stopping their growth.

Composition
-
Active Ingredient: Temozolomide 100 mg
Mechanism of Action
Temozolomide is a prodrug that is converted in the body into an active compound, MTIC (monomethyl triazeno imidazole carboxamide). MTIC methylates DNA at the O6 and N7 positions of guanine, leading to DNA damage and inhibition of cancer cell replication. This results in tumor cell death, particularly in rapidly dividing cells.
